Renáta joined the team of Solus Capital Zrt in May 2020 as a Portfolio Manager. She acquired her experience in the world of finance from many different positions at Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) and the treasury team of Hungarian Telekom.

After working for a multinational company what led you to a job dealing with startup companies?

Managing the financial and operational processe of a startup portfolio is a diverse and comprehensive professional challenge. At giant companies experts move away from their core business, while at Solus, financing and business decisions are more intertwined.

The financial control of new technology companies go hand in hand with a meaningful understanding of the business, personal relationships and knowledge of the market environment, as well as compliance issues due to EU funding rules. It inspires me to learn about different business ideas and support their development.
