Tamás Ungvári joined the Solus Capital team in May 2020 in the field of portfolio management and monitoring. The increase in the number of investments made so far and in our future plans required the institutionalization of relations with the companies in our portfolio, the continuous monitoring of their performance, the support of their activities and the operation of the reporting system required to meet the information obligations of fund owners.

The three decades of experience of Tamás with venture and private equity funds and investment banks provide a good basis for all this.

It is a real pleasure for Tamás to work in good quality, as well as to work with people at companies based on mutual respect. All of these require a significant amount of time, but the returns are also plentiful.

What were your goals for Solus?

One of my main objectives is to make portfolio companies feel not only an administrative burden to work with in this area, but also a feedback unit that helps them implement their business plan and increase shareholder value.

Tamás loves to spend his free time with his family. She enjoys cooking outdoors, grilling and gardening. His favourite sport is skiing, he loves foreign languages and is interested in the history of neighbouring countries.
